So for reasons best not written about online I decided to go shopping in Bromley on the last Sunday before Christmas!(but yes I had finished all the completely necessary shopping) Not being too insane I went early before the shops had opened.
So in M & S they had opened early for browsing, but people had started queuing well before 11. It upset me the number of people in that queue who were complaining why didn’t they just open the tills. If people don’t understand the reason is Sunday Trading law then how are we ever going to get rid of these stupid rules! Being able to order from websites when the shops are shut, but would rather be open might also be helping the online world do better than the high street.
I do ponder if the Scottish rules are a good excuse to move to Scotland!
