Pass either side for same destination

This is one that really bugs me….

Pass either side for same destination

Pass either side for same destination

Why is this sign so often used incorrectly? If I can go one side of a traffic island for direction x and the other side for direction y it surely is not the same destination… Therefore the sign is wrong. I did try and ask my local council to fix this mistake, but that got nowhere. So I shall add to my list of grumbles.

I am now starting to feel I really have started to become a grumpy old man, but would like to see traffic signs used correctly.

There’s the whole other issue of box junctions as well I think I’ll write a letter and see if I get anywhere with that one before having my grumble on my blog!

Then it’s good to know the government get something right here in my opinion quoted from there website;
